In partnership with one of the largest Multinational companies in the Pharmaceutical industry, recognized as one of the Best Workplaces to work in Portugal, we are recruiting a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Apply the logical and analytical skills on the banking developments to improve efficiency;
- Channel the expertise into the operational tools to automize processes (developer
would be a plus);
- Manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively on a daily basis;
- Update accounting database for daily financial transactions;
- Follow standard procedures to improve efficiency in cash collections, funds transfers, cash disbursements, month-end account closing activities, and inter-departmental reporting;
- Ensure bank accounts reconciliation;
- Forecast daily cash position by utilizing cash receipts and disbursements;
- Resolve any issues related to foreign currency exchange;
- Develop professional knowledge on cash management processes and techniques.
Profile:
- Degree in Finance, Management or Economics or equivalent work experience;
- 5+ years of experience in banking activities;
- Strong knowledge in the Banking systems;
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and end-to-end process mindset;
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office applications and SAP FI;
- Fluency in English (mandatory).
