Our client is a renowned Foods & Beverage manufacturer based in Lisbon and is now looking for an experienced Engineer, strategic and hands-on Engineer to join its Maintenance Management Team as the newest Senior Maintenance Planner (M/F).

Main goal:

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for ensuring the effective planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities to maximize operational efficiency and minimize downtime. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring all work is completed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment and facilities, with the support of the maintenance engineering team.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
• Ensure availability of necessary resources, including materials, tools, personnel, and outsourced services for scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and track maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, food safety, and company policies.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, opportunities, and optimize maintenance processes.
• Using the CMMS software, maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, backlog control, equipment history, and spare parts usage.
• Collaborate with procurement to manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of maintenance best practices.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting maintenance expenses.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master degree in engineering, maintenance management, or a related field preferred.
• Experience of at least 3-5 years in industrial environment, using CMMS and planning software’s
• Strong understanding of maintenance processes, techniques, and best practices.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Focus on Health, Safety and Environment behavior

• A practical understanding and application of legal compliance in a maintenance environment
• Familiar with Maintenance KPI’s and budgets
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with various stakeholders.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
