We are recruiting 1 Governance and Operational Risk Specialist (Business & Operations - AIMS)for a Financial investment/ Banking that is growing in Portugal.

Your overall responsibilities:

• 
  
• Advise on and manage the commercial, legal and operational aspects related to selection of external managers. Monitor actively commercial and operational aspects and ensure strong governance regarding the external manager.
• Analyse complex data and report on it.
• Ensure that the outsourcing of the portfolio management is according to and comply with regulation
• Understand the business and regulatory changes in the asset management industry.
• Cover day-to-day actions with external managers and internal stakeholders and represent AIMS in the operational on-boarding of external products.
• Perform operational due diligences.
• Ensure the mitigation of operational and compliance risks by following key controls and business procedures.
• In addition to the daily tasks in supporting the organization you will participate in projects aiming at developing and improving tools, processes and procedures within the governance, compliance and operational risk area of AIMS.
• International travel to USA and Asia is expected.

If you have experience in:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (law, economics, etc.)
• Relevant work experience in asset management is an advantage
• You have experience in governance, reporting or operational risk.
• You have an excellent command of English (written and spoken at academic level)
