Our client is a multinational media and digital marketing company and is currently recruiting an Financial Services Manager for is SSC in Lisbon.


The purpose of this role is to manage the standard Operational Finance activities for the market. The role will build a successful team, manage process risk and drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple processes.


Reviews and implements process controls to ensure Operational Finance deliverables are achieved on an accurate and timely basis

Maintains and reviews documentation ensuring compliance to policies and audit requirements

Ensures clear governance in place to manage changes to Master Data and its impact across multiple systems and processes including definitions and mapping rules

Develops and delivers on key process performance indicators

 Effectively manages the team and it’s deliverables focussing on utilisation, effectiveness, cross training and engagement

Drives delivery of continuous process improvement initiatives and implement best practices to achieve operational efficiencies

Engages closely with Commercial Finance and Financial Control teams, as well as other internal and external stakeholders to resolve key process issues

Effectively manages risk and escalations where process deficiencies are identified


Requirements:

  • •at least 10 years of experience in managing on a SSC
  • Graduate degree and/or internationally recognized finance/accounting qualification
  • Experience of working in teams on complex consolidation models
  • Expertise and leadership experience in Operational Finance and Finance Control areas
  • Have a strong mindset and pragmatic approach to simplification
  • Experience of delivering Operational Excellence and of embedding Lean Operating Principles
  • Experience of leading and developing teams on multi-country financial systems
  • Strong leadership and management skills to lead a team of qualified professionals, particularly in a pressurised and deadline driven environment
  • Ability to deal with and analyse unstructured problems/queries and to question and challenge existing procedures
  • Strong awareness of processes, IT and data and the ability to drive efficient processes
