Wyser is the international company of the Gi Group that develops the recruitment and specialized selection of middle and senior level personnel. We are part of Gi Group, one of the leading international companies in services dedicated to the development of the labor market.


Our client is a renowned French company specializing in the design and manufacturing equipment for the wine-making industry based in Alenquer and is now looking for an enthusiastic General Manager to fulfill a new role within the company assisting directly the Deputy Managing Director.

This role will involve strategic planning, financial management, team leadership, and customer relationship building. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, and business management, with a focus on the wine-making industry.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Implement and oversee the company's strategy in Portugal, developing action plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Financial Management: Prepare annual budgets, analyze financial performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of professionals to achieve company goals.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, wine institutions, and public authorities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the Portuguese wine equipment market.
  • Sales and Marketing: Oversee sales activities, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts with customers.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English or French.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, and business management.
  • Strong understanding of the winemaking industry and its equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies.


Additional Considerations:

  • The General Manager may be required to perform additional duties as needed.
  • The position offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
  • The successful candidate will be a key member of the Group leadership team.
